Based in the San Martin region of Peru, world-renowned for its immense biodiversity of medicinal plants, Amazonia Sagrada collaborates with the Takiwasi Laboratory and distributes its natural products for health and well-being.
Indeed, the region where we live is the historical center of Amazonian Traditional Medicine.
Our primary aim is to preserve and promote age-old techniques, plants and knowledge by raising their profile and making the benefits of Amazonian plants accessible to as many people as possible. Amazonia Sagrada is the privileged and exclusive distributor of the Takiwasi Laboratory.
The Takiwasi Laboratory promotes the creation of added value in the sustainable use of Amazonian biodiversity resources, as a strategy for combining environmental conservation with the inclusive development of the Indian communities that are its main allies. It supports and trains Indian communities in the sustainable management of natural resources, guaranteeing them fair payment for the collection of medicinal plants and enabling them to gain greater control over their ancestral knowledge, as well as promoting the creation of their own brands.
We work hand in hand with the Takiwasi Laboratory, sharing these fundamental values.
Simple: Having experienced the power of plants and the power of Amazonian medicine, we’re convinced of the benefits they can bring you.
We wanted to offer you the chance to benefit from these products, but also to participate in the preservation of this knowledge and make a small contribution to the NGO Takiwasi and support the native communities.
Amazonia Sagrada offers you the full range of products developed by the Takiwasi Laboratory, directly inspired and guided by traditional Amazonian medicine.
You’ll have access to top-quality products that respect and preserve the environment, in partnership with native communities and with fair compensation for their collaboration. Unfortunately, corruption in South American countries means that many products and plants are exported with false certificates.
To illustrate this, we’d like to suggest Palo Santo. However, 90% of its normally regulated exploitation is illegal, and the trafficking is organized by the control authorities themselves. Even if the plant we use is harvested with respect and preservation in mind, we owe it to ourselves not to participate in this extinction.
The product line we’re particularly fond of is that of “Master” plant mother tinctures.
These sacred plant extracts, the same as those used for dieting, could be similar to Bach Flower Remedies.
The difference being that our extracts and their properties on physical, mental and spiritual health are backed up and validated by over 5,000 years of experience and supported by clinical reality, research and studies at the Takiwasi Center for over 30 years.
Here, there are few or no organic, AB or other Western specifications. While we are aware of the benefits of organic certification, we are going against what might be termed industrial organic farming, which from our point of view is antithetical.
Don’t hesitate to contact us for professional prices, we’re here to help.
For us, respect for our natural environment and traditional know-how is paramount. We offer you 100% natural products straight from traditional Amazonian medicine.
Amazonia Sagrada is committed, alongside the Takiwasi Laboratory, to protecting and preserving the plants used and this ancestral culture.
This is where traditional Amazonian medicine meets modern science, with the greatest respect for biodiversity and the age-old knowledge on which they are based.
In order to avoid excessive shipping costs, we have had to abandon certain types of packaging, such as glass jars, in favor of recycled plastic (where possible), which is lighter and therefore less expensive for you to ship.

Ethical model: fair remuneration for our partners
It’s a point of honor for us to know the traceability and quality of our products. It’s essential to know where and how our products are made.
The Takiwasi Laboratory respects and owns a sustainable and traceable process, which combines the soul of the forest and traditional knowledge with science and technology. We also respect the culture, values and knowledge of the traditional peoples of the Amazon to harvest all the senses of the forest in an ethical and transparent way.
Their crops, plantations, processing and packaging facilities are located in the very heart of the exceptional San Martin region of the Peruvian Amazon.
Among the exceptional products we offer, discover remarkable products such as :
Maitresses” plant extracts, unique products that are particularly close to our hearts. These extracts are an accessible way to benefit from this formidable medicine. By following a few simple rules, you can get the most out of these marvellous plants.
Bach Flower Remedies have borrowed some aspects of this medicine, linking a plant to its so-called energetic or emotional properties.
The millennia-old knowledge of these plants, combined with the clinical and scientific contributions of the Takiwasi Center, enable us to guarantee effective, top-quality products, even if we’d like the world of scientific research to take a closer look at this knowledge.
Amachay, an original remedy developed by the Takiwasi Laboratory. A blend of 3 plants to boost the body’s natural defenses. Whether it’s to combat a virus, as a preventive cure to get through the winter or as a complement to cancer treatment, Amachay proves particularly effective.
Another very interesting plant: Lupuna. It appears that this plant has very interesting effects for endometriosis problems, which are becoming increasingly frequent.
Grado Blood Resin, harvested by a community of native women (they are the holders of this know-how) using an age-old technique.
It’s important to know that the wrong kind of harvest means the death of the tree. Our resin is harvested from 400 to 500-year-old trees, using very precise techniques and depending on the position of the moon, only twice a year.
Nuwa infusions belong to the Shampuyacu indigenous community, located in the Alto Mayo valley (San Martin region). They were developed in collaboration between the community, the Takiwasi laboratory and Conservation International. This trademark is the exclusive property of the community.
The aim of this initiative is to help improve the quality of life of the community of ShampuyacuThis is done in harmony with its culture and territory, by promoting biodiversity and the role of Awajún women, and by ensuring a fair and equitable distribution of profits throughout the value chain*.
*Business model developed by the Takiwasi Center’s Natural Products Laboratory.
Tobacco mapachos and masos, products we’d like to offer in the future but which run up against tobacco regulations. It is the most important plant in Amazonian medicine, more so than Ayahuasca. From the deepest heart of the Amazon rainforest, no roads, only 3 days by boat, this natural black tobacco has been used for thousands of years. It is a 100% masculine plant whose main characteristics are: Mental clarity, strength, structure and protection.
But you’ll find mother tinctures of Tobacco in the sacred plants category.

The Takiwasi Laboratory depends on the Takiwasi Center, with the aim of “giving back” a part of what has been received. A way of thanking this world of traditional medicine for what it has contributed to the Takiwasi Center over the past 30 years.
The Takiwasi Center, or “The House That Sings” in Quechua, is a non-profit organization (NGO) located in the town of Tarapoto, in Peru’s Upper Amazon. Its foundation in 1992 was the result of a research project begun in 1986 into the practices of traditional Amazonian medicine, in one of Peru’s richest regions in terms of ancestral knowledge linked to the use of medicinal and sacred plants, which contribute to physical, mental and spiritual healing.
Takiwasi is considered the oldest and most prestigious institution combining psychotherapy and herbal medicine for mental health treatment. With three decades of experience in this field, this model, perfectly balanced between medicine, psychology and spirituality, has been the subject of over 60 international research projects, bringing together an interdisciplinary academic community, integrated by scientific institutions of worldwide excellence.
The Natural Products Laboratory promotes the creation of added value in the sustainable use of Amazonian biodiversity resources, as a strategy for combining environmental conservation with the inclusive development of the Indian communities that are their main allies. It supports and trains Indian communities in the sustainable management of natural resources, guaranteeing them fair payment for the collection of medicinal plants and enabling them to gain greater control over their ancestral knowledge, as well as promoting the creation of their own brands.
In the field of sustainable development and biodiversity protection, the Takiwasi Laboratory has been recognized on several occasions as a “Bio-trade Success Story” by organizations such as the GEF (Global Environment Facility) and the United Nations, for proposing a model of fair and sustainable trade.
