To mark the 30th anniversary of the Takiwasi Center, we’re releasing this documentary which looks back over the three decades of intense clinical and research work on traditional Amazonian medicines that have enabled the Takiwasi institution to become a national and international reference.
From the initial objectives and vocation of service to the excellent clinical results recorded in the most recent scientific studies, the film presents the different facets of Takiwasi: the therapeutic community for the treatment of drug addiction, the offering of personal development retreats, the combination of Western and Amazonian medical resources, the building of bridges between representatives of different cultures, spiritualities and knowledge, the development of natural products based on medicinal plants and projects developed in collaboration with local indigenous communities.
